The Scottish International Airshow is delighted to announce that Scotland’s most popular artist, Steven Brown, will be the guest of honour and open the Airshow at 12.45 on Saturday 2nd September.
Steven is a great friend and supporter of the Airshow and will also be bringing some of his brand new work to the Airshow.
There will be a huge McCoo marquee on the Low Green Ayr and Steven will be making personal appearances during both Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September.
Steven said, “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of such a prestigious event. It’s great that Ayrshire now has one of the biggest events in Scotland and I’m truly proud and privileged to be part of that, we should all be very lucky of what we have here today.”
Doug Maclean, Airshow Director said, “We are building an event of international significance right here in the heart of Ayrshire. Steven already runs a huge international business from Ayrshire but even as Scotland’s most successful artist Steven has not forgotten his Ayrshire roots. To have Steven join as our guest of honour for both days is an absolute delight.
“I am really looking forward to seeing Steven’s new works of art in the McCoo marquee on the Low Green. I have heard he has even included a connection to flying in one of his new new paintings“
The official opening of the Airshow will take place from an open topped bus on the Ayr promenade at the centre point of the Low Green.
Steven will officially open the Airshow before the first superb aerobatic flying takes place at 1pm on Saturday 2nd September. The Airshow this year features a Royal Marines beach invasion on Saturday and finishes with the world class Red Arrows at 5 pm on Sunday afternoon.
