A 50 year old Mossblown man has been arrested and charged by police in relation to a series of recent frauds and road traffic offences including driving while disqualified in Ayrshire.

The man was arrested in Mauchline about 1100 hours on Monday 23rd September 2019 and was held in police custody to appear at Court. PC David Lawson, of Ayrshire Police Division, said “Fraud is a crime in which some kind of deception is used for personal gain. “Fraudsters are often very convincing and as technology advances their frauds have become increasingly sophisticated. “We would encourage everyone to be careful when selling or buying goods through online advertising sites. Consider the payment arrangements requested. Fraudsters will often insist on high-risk payment methods including cheques or cash transfer systems. “For the latest safety advice visit our website at scotland.police.uk”.
