PICTURES: A77 turns into a river as flash floods closes busy road

The A77 has been closed both ways between Monkton and Kilmarnock due to flash flooding with several minor RTCs also reported.
The Roads around Dundonald are also flooded with drivers being diverted via the A71 Irvine and A78 to Ayr.
Traffic is extremely busy so severe delays are expected, Bus service X77 is also diverting via the A71/A78 Irvine to avoid the flooding.
