Police appealing after a dog was killed by another dog in Troon

Police officers in Troon are appealing for information after a dog was attacked by another dog on the beach on Sunday 29 April 2018.
Around 4.30 pm a woman was walking along Troon beach near the sand dunes at the Marine Hotel with her three Chihuahua dogs when a light coloured Lurcher came across and attacked one of her Chihuahuas.
The Chihuahua died from its injuries.
Sergeant Dean Barlas, Troon Police Office, said:
“We are appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident, or who knows the owner of the lurcher to come forward and contact us.
“The lurcher appeared to be with a woman who was also walking one other dog at the time and we would also appeal for her to come forward.
“Anyone with information should contact Troon Police Office via 101, quoting incident number 1338 of Monday 30 March 2018.”
