South Ayrshire Council have granted permission for a public procession to take place in Ayr on Saturday the 6th of July 2019.

Police Scotland said:
“The procession will commence at 1.30pm at Blackburn carpark and will end within the Low Green, Ayr. The following roads will be affected;
• Wellington Square
• Barns Street
• Dalblair Road
• Alloway Place
• High Street
• Sandgate
• Wellington Square
“The procession is likely to cause major congestion within Ayr Town Centre and the surrounding areas with road closures being put in place - it is anticipated that the procession will be concluded by 3pm but this is subject to change on the day.

”If you plan on travelling to Ayr on this date please:
“Allow plenty of time for your journey and anticipate significant delays”
“Reduce your speed when in the town due to stationary and queuing traffic and be aware of pedestrians participating in the procession.
“We will be deploying additional officers throughout the procession to keep people safe.”
