At a gala night at the Park Plaza Westminster hotel last night Prestwick was crowned UK Air Freight Business of the Year.

It is a fabulous recognition for several years of hard work by Nico Le Roux and his small but incredibly good team.
The turnaround is remarkable. A whole new business has been created. Traditionally it was exciting to see a new service start at one a week.
We have gone from Scotland never having a dedicated freight service to China to 16 flights a week from 3 different cities.
Ayrshire Daily News has been there reporting on every step of the way. We have reported on the new services, the new jobs and the new prospects.
As we head into a New Year we look at how Prestwick is reacting to this success.
That reaction is very positive. Rather than basking in the glory of a couple of year’s achievements being recognised with a nice trophy I’m told that everyone is back at their desks first thing Monday There is a small matter of expanding into the Indian market of 1.4 billion people.
The future is bright. The future is Prestwick
