Provost Iain Campbell visited Chalmers Court, Ayr on Friday 22 August to celebrate the 50thAnniversary of Scottish charity Blue Triangle.

Founded in Glasgow in 1975, Blue Triangle’s aim was to provide support to young, single women experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
In 1992 Blue Triangle opened Chalmers Court in Ayr to support single adults in need with safe housing, personal support, and long-term solutions that will ultimately help people move on and thrive.
The Charity supports more than 400 people every day and plays an important role in combating issues of homelessness.
Provost Campbell gave a welcoming speech to officially open the event and to thank all staff and volunteers for their hard work and dedication in making the charity a roaring success and being an invaluable lifeline to many individuals across South Ayrshire.
