SAC are pleased to announce that the Strikemaster Pair will display at The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight 2025.

This display team is based at Hawarden Airport near Chester and is owned and operated by North Wales Military Aviation Services Ltd. The Strikemaster aircraft is based on an ex-RAF jet trainer called the Jet Provost T mk5A.
The Strikemaster Pair’s display uses a sequence of manoeuvres to show-off the jet’s capabilities. The pair start with close-formation aerobatics at speeds of over 300 knots – that’s over 345 miles per hour - before they split to perform opposition manoeuvres.
The team will showcase the power and agility of this small jet, and throughout the sequence, the display will be enhanced using a purpose-built smoke system.
Don’t miss the Strikemaster Pair as they join our exciting schedule of aerial displays on Saturday 6 September.
Leader of South Ayrshire Council, Councillor Brian Connolly said: “Its incredible news that we’ve been able to book not one but two Strikemaster jets for our airshow this year. This display is one of many fantastic performances planned for the weekend-long festival – so now’s the time to make arrangements for your visit to Ayr this September.”
Depute Leader of South Ayrshire Council and Portfolio Holder for Tourism, Culture and Rural Affairs, Councillor Alec Clark said: “There’s not long to go now until display teams take to the skies at our airshow, and excitement is building. The Strikemaster Pair are a wonderful addition to the already diverse lineup, and I’m sure the crowds will be wowed by their speed and agility.”
CEO of theSKYLAB, Dr Geoff Coxon said “Due to technical issues in 2023 only one of the Strikemasters could make it up for our airshow. So, when the opportunity came along this year for both to appear, it was an easy decision to make. Having two of these iconic jets perform precision aerobatics is absolutely superb and will make for a completely different display than we had previously which I know everyone will love”.
The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight will be held at Ayr shorefront on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 September 2025. Keep up to date with airshow news at www.ayrshow.co.uk
