Stagecoach is excited to announce its sponsorship of this year’s International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight.

As part of the sponsorship, the bus operator will be providing an open-top bus for live flight commentary and is working in partnership with South Ayrshire Council to offer a convenient park & ride shuttle service.

This comes under the operator’s ongoing commitment to support the local community through engaging with local events, residents and initiatives.

To reduce congestion in the town and ensure smooth travel to and from the event, Stagecoach will operate a park & ride shuttle service in partnership with South Ayrshire Council. This service will operate frequently during the event, making it the easiest way to access the show.

The shuttle service schedule will be Friday, 6th September 2024 14:32 – 22:30 and Saturday, 7th September 2024 10:30 – 21:30 with pick up and drop off locations being:

Ayr Racecourse:

1. Pickup locations: Craigie Park, Craigie Road, Ayr Esplanade

2. Drop-off locations: Craigie Park, Craigie Road, Charlotte Street, Ayr

Rozelle Park (only operating on Saturday 7th September):

1. Pickup locations: Bus stop outside the entrance to Rozelle Park on Monument Road and Racecourse View

2. Drop-off locations: Bus stop outside the entrance to Rozelle Park on Monument Road and Seafield Crescent, Ayr

A traffic management system will be put in place by South Ayrshire Council during the show to manage traffic congestion in the town. Due to this, attendees are strongly advised to use the park & ride shuttle service. Parking must be booked in advance via South Ayrshire Council. For more information and to book your parking, visit this link. (https://customer-parking-services.tracsistcs.com/booking-parking-dates/?access_token=ayrshow&name=ayrshow)

It’s extremely important that you do not park in any restricted area. Vehicles left in restricted areas may be towed, and the owner will be required to pay a £200 fine to retrieve it.

In addition to the park & ride shuttle service, Stagecoach is also encouraging those travelling to the show to use the Stagecoach Bus App for information on regular services to and from Ayr. They urge customers to take advantage of great value group tickets, and free travel for under-22s and over-60s. It is being advised to buy your ticket in advance.

Fiona Doherty, Managing Director of Stagecoach West Scotland, said:
