Police investigation into Sandgate car accident involving 72 year old

POLICE have been asking local businesses for CCTV footage and information, on the Sandgate, Ayr.

A car driven by a 72 year old woman overturned around 6AM Tuesday morning, 26th of Jan 2016, on the busy Sandgate road.

Police traffic units, collision investigation teams are on the scene, still continuing their investigation.

The driver was rushed to Ayr Hospital, where her condition is serious - Police Officer on the scene told Ayrshire Daily News they will update us as information comes in.

Sergeant Ian Thornton is appealing for any witnesses to contact officers at the Divisonal Road Policing, Ayrshire, via 101.
